FULL TIME EXTERIORS OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee and manage daily operations of the production team and trades
- Plan and schedule projects, ensuring timely completion
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Supervise and train team members on job tasks and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Estimating and job review
- Work together with our team to provide reporting and response to clients
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets standards
- Manage budgets and expenses

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a managerial role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of roofing construction processes and techniques

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Supervising Trades and Workers on jobs sites in Calgary North West to assure jobs are completed in accordance with contract specs.
• Ensuring that quality, timeliness and customer care are of maintained on all jobs.
• These tasks will include but not limited to, addressing deficiencies, assisting production manager, performing miscellaneous repair projects all the while maintaining a high level of customer service.

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years of experience in the Roofing/Exteriors industry
• Computer and smart phone experience are essential
• Knowledge of installation techniques (best practice roofing, flashing, soft metal work)
• ·Ability to work alone as well with others
• Able to self-direct and exhibit a high level of initiative
• Excellent Interpersonal skills, self – motivation and initiative
• Strong organization and conflict management
• Capacity to be flexible and evaluate priorities on short notice
• Excellent driving history, with a current and valid class 5 non-graduated driver's license

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is conducted on active construction sites. Applicant must be able to perform the following:
· Physically fit with the ability to complete demanding tasks related to roofing repairs and other challenging repair tasks
·Walk on uneven terrain
· Comfortable with climbing ladders and working on heights
· Move and carry construction materials and supplies that may weigh more than 35 kg
· Overtime as required
· Hazards associated with the trade
· Work outdoors in various elements

Admin Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
Shield Roofing & Exteriors is a restoration construction business that needs an Admin Bookkeeper. The atmosphere of our office is casual but demanding at times requiring the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
​
The Admin Bookkeeper is responsible for ensuring that all billing processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This includes maintaining accurate and complete customer records, generating customer invoices, preparing customer statements, and following up on outstanding payments. Additionally, maintaining business accounts through QuickBooks. As admin you will also be responsible for helping with general administration tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with front desk operations, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, taking messages and directing inquiries to the appropriate department
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents this includes electronic and physical documents and files.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Data entry- Keep an accurate record of client accounts and outstanding balances
- Create and send invoices and account updates to clients electronically or on paper
- Notify clients of upcoming or missed payment deadlines
- Address our clients' billing questions and issues, interfacing with clients in a timely manner
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement
- Maintaining our accounts through QuickBooks
- Daily department updates
Skills and Qualifications:
- QuickBooks (one year preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Google Docs, Sheets and Adobe
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in front desk operations and customer service
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, administrative procedures and clerical tasks
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Minimum High School diploma, preferred Diploma or Degree in Accounting from a recognized Post Secondary Institution or Business Administration

Eavestrough Installer
In-house Eavestrough Installer to run Shield machine
We are seeking a skilled Eavestrough Installer to join the Shield team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and installation, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on residential and commercial properties to ensure proper drainage and protection from water damage through the installation of eavestrough systems. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Install eavestrough systems according to specifications and building codes.

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.

Ensure proper alignment and drainage of eavestroughs to prevent water damage.
-
Perform necessary carpentry work related to eavestrough installation, including building supports and brackets.
-
Conduct repairs and restoration of existing eavestrough systems as needed.
-
Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site, including carpenters and painters, to ensure project completion.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Follow all safety protocols while using tools and equipment

Requirements

Two years of experience minimum

Ability to safely lift 80lbs

Valid drivers licence

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.

Skills in carpentry, including the ability to build supports for eavestrough systems.
