Eavestroughs, soffit & fascia in Calgary

Usually yes — dented eavestroughs, downspouts, and damaged fascia are commonly part of a hail claim, subject to your deductible, and they're often claimed together with roof and siding damage from the same storm. Our free assessment documents every dent so nothing gets missed. See our insurance claims page for how the process works.

Honestly — usually not. Soffits sit tucked under your eaves, protected from most hail angles, so they rarely take storm damage and typically aren't part of a claim. If yours are dated or you'd like them to match a new exterior, we're happy to replace them as an upgrade — and doing it while crews are already on site is the most economical way.

Fascia is the board that caps your roof edge and carries your eavestroughs — when it rots or fails, gutters sag, water gets behind, and the damage spreads to places that cost far more to fix. Aluminum fascia seals and finishes that edge with essentially no maintenance. On insurance claims, damaged fascia is covered — our documentation identifies exactly which pieces qualify.

It's custom-bent aluminum, formed to wrap the exposed wood on your home — window and door frames, porch columns, trim boards, and other details. Bare or painted wood in those spots needs scraping and repainting every few years and rots where water finds it; cladding seals it in a maintenance-free metal skin, colour-matched to your exterior, so the crisp look lasts. It's also a genuinely specialized trade: every piece is measured and bent on-site with a metal brake to fit your home's exact profiles, and the difference between tight, crisp capping and wavy, gapping metal is entirely in the hands doing the bending. If you've admired a home where every edge and column looks perfectly finished, you were probably looking at good capping work.

It depends on the cause: overflowing can mean clogging, insufficient slope, undersized troughs for your roof area, or too few downspouts. We'll diagnose it honestly — sometimes the fix is a re-slope or an added downspout rather than full replacement.

Yes — aluminum eavestrough, soffit, and fascia come in a wide colour range, and matching (or deliberately contrasting) your siding and trim is part of every quote. Dark fascia with light soffit, tone-on-tone, or a statement colour like the burgundy package in our photos — bring your vision or ask to see samples.

Constantly — metals are usually the finishing phase of a roof or siding project, and bundling them means one mobilization, one colour plan, and a lower combined price than doing each separately. If your roof or siding is on the list too, start with our roofing or siding pages and we'll scope the whole exterior together.
